Account Configuration Options for MSP and Resellers

Standard MSP:

The customer has one tenant within CloudCheckr. They give their customers role-based access that determines what accounts, reports, and cost types they have access to within CloudCheckr. This can be fully white labeled, down to the URL.

When to use:

Basic/Standard MSP set up – The MSP manages the payee accounts for their customer(s), and they own the payer account. Their end users are typically enterprise/SMB/Gov.

L1/L2 – resellers:

Customer (L1) has a “master” CloudCheckr tenant where payer accounts are credentialed. L1 has customer(s) (L2) that need to be able to bill their end customers and have their own tenant, where they can add custom charges and create invoices. The L1 creates a “Reseller” link to send the appropriate cost data to the L2 tenant. The L2 customer has complete control over their tenant and can set up roles, white-labeling, and such just like the standard MSP configuration.

When to use:

Public Cloud Reseller/Distributor – L1 purchases Cloud Accounts and sells to MSPs (Managed Service Providers), usually taking advantage of volume purchase discounts to offer their customers a better rate. The Distributor (L1) does not always provide a service like an MSP (L2). The MSP (L2) can then add its own custom charges for managed services.
